impossibly blue

UIU Dickinson MT Library

Nothing sets off a project site quite like a clear blue sky and fluffy white clouds. As we continue to work on design and construction projects around the region, we also try to be intentional about taking advantage of as many picturesque days as we can, to document our projects after construction and while the spaces are in use. After all, that’s really what our designs are all about!

It is refreshing to look through the camera lens as opposed to our typical filters of design parameters, budget concerns, and construction details. New discoveries include an appreciation of the impossibly blue skies in Fayette, Iowa; the aesthetic qualities of the rain gardens at Dickinson College; and the profusion of color in the plantings at the new Manheim Township Library.

As the days turn to hot and hazy, we’ll hold out hope for more ideal days to capture our spaces in use and gain some relief from our current heat wave (current conditions at this writing, a hazy 94 degrees).
