Lancaster County Central Park
Lancaster County Central Park, encompassing 544 acres in the southern portion of the City of Lancaster, was master planned by the firm.
The ambitious plan encompasses a wide variety of facilities and original design. The park includes trails, several swimming pools, pavilions, and other recreational elements.
One of the most interesting features within the park is the Garden of Five Senses. Designed as a recreational facility that appeals to all of the five senses – sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste – the garden delights visitors with a complete sensory experience. The area is particularly attractive to people with various disabilities.
Lancaster County Central Park was honored as one of the nation’s significant landscapes by the American Society of Landscape Architects with the 1999 Medallian Award.
