Route 30 Beautification
The route 30 corridor is a main thoroughfare in Lancaster County. Three main interchanges are part of this corridor and were the focus of this plan. Dividing the corridor into three main interchange areas, Derck & Edson worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team to create beautification and enhancement plans. Each plan segment was accompanied by several perspective sketches to further illustrate the impact of the suggested changes.
Overall, the plan for this corridor includes the creation of a welcoming gesture for residents and visitors alike. Beacons greet those entering the community while native plantings, arranged in agrarian patterns reflective of Lancaster County farmland, guide travelers to their destinations.
