Honesdale Borough Downtown Planning
Honesdale, PA is the home of Highlights magazine with those famous “hidden pictures” puzzles and a “philosophy that children become their ‘best selves’ by using their creativity and imagination.”
In 2017, the time had come for the Honesdale community to seek their ‘best selves’ within the community context. In conjunction with Hailstone Economic, and at the request of the Wayne Economic Development Corporation, Derck & Edson produced sketches to help in the pursuit of funding for economic development in the downtown.
Using our creativity and inspiring the imaginations of the community, our work helped people to visualize a revitalized downtown and reinvigorated sense of place.
