PA Classics Outdoor Soccer Park
PA Classics Soccer Park is a 10 field, 32 acre, outdoor soccer park in the heart of Lancaster County. Opened in 2006, this all grass soccer complex functions as the home fields for the Pennsylvania Classics Soccer Club.
Youth soccer is more popular than ever. In addition to school teams, private youth soccer clubs have become common. Since 2004, to date, Derck & Edson has assisted the Pennsylvania Classics Soccer Club with planning and development of a dual-campus complex near Manheim, in Lancaster County, PA. The Park was developed to meet the demand for youth soccer, providing a venue for practices, clinics, and tournaments. It consists of these two complexes:
Classics Soccer Park at 1461 Lancaster Road
The Pennsylvania Classics Soccer Park on Lancaster Road was the first of the two locations to be established. The Complex opened in 2006 as the home base for the Pennsylvania Classics Soccer Club. The complex features nine natural turf fields and one synthetic turf field on 32-acres as well as a concession / restroom building. Porous asphalt provides an environmentally-friendly place for families to park. The porous asphalt allows rainfall to percolate through the pavement surface, reducing surface stormwater runoff.
Lititz Road Turf Field at 1270 Lititz Road
The PA Classics Soccer Park expanded in 2011 to include a second location, less than a mile away from the Classics Soccer Park. This complex features one full-size synthetic turf field with additional space for a warm-up area. Again, porous asphalt was used for the parking area.
Derck & Edson provided the athletics design, site design, and municipal approvals for these two campuses. Development has occurred over the course of several phases since the initial planning. Future plans include additional fields and athletic lighting.
