Campus Commons

Desiring a more park-like campus, Alvernia University turned to Derck & Edson to transform a parking lot into a central campus green.

The planning and design process for the Campus Commons incorporated many hand-rendered sketches, enabling stakeholders to get a better feel for the effect planned changes would have on a space that was a parking lot.

The completed Campus Commons not only provides central green space but it also functions as a key campus connector.
