Alvernia University Wayfinding
Another part of our planning work involved developing a complete wayfinding system. The system was designed to include various signage elements to address the needs of the entire campus. Early conceptual studies led to the final overall design. A 3D model for the route 10 entrance helped planning proceed to the completed route 10 entrance, which functions as a dual entry for the University and Angelica Park.
Many of the entry signs feature stone that complements the materials used on existing historic buildings on the campus. The modern glass block tower at the route 10 entrance is illuminated at night, acting as a soft beacon that further accentuates the entry point.
Elsewhere, a campus kiosk features a digital campus map (bottom left) for students and visitors to campus.
