Culinary Institute of America Anton Plaza
The project at the entrance to historic Roth Hall addressed several concerns that were noted as part of the campus master planning process for the Culinary Institute of America. These concerns included needs for: more parking, an appropriate entry point for Roth Hall, and sizable outdoor gathering space. The new Anton Plaza and related parking structure meet all these needs and more.
Anton Plaza is actually a green roof that sits atop a parking structure. Special features include a dry deck fountain, pergola structures, and various plantings and lawn areas.
When necessary, the dry deck fountain can be turned off to accommodate larger gatherings. The entire space was sized to allow the use of tents for various special events.
