Eastern University Kea and Guffin Halls
Recognizing the need to enhance the residence life experience through facility enhancements, Eastern University called on Derck & Edson to create a plan for initial renovation projects within both Kea and Guffin Halls.
The focus of the project scope is on public spaces within these two residence halls such as lobby spaces, lounges, hallways, laundry rooms, and the Breezeway Grill. Improvements, where needed, will include new paint, lighting, carpeting, and flooring as well as new lounge and dining venue furniture.
As a new offering, the lounge space in the basement of Kea Hall will be renovated into a gaming room for all Eastern students to enjoy. Expected to be completed by late January 2017, these initial improvements, illustrated by transformation images, are a significant step forward to improving everyday student experiences at Eastern University.
