Endicott College Wayfinding
Stemming from Endicott College’s Campus Enhancement Plan®, the College further engaged Derck & Edson to enhance campus wayfinding. Two main issues needed to be addressed as part of this project:
1. Campus Wide Wayfinding (Exterior)
A campus wide signage system needed to be updated to address existing deficiencies for directing visitors to key campus facilities, as well as inconsistent signage styles and planning for proposed future facilities. The College wanted to develop and implement a family of exterior wayfinding signage throughout campus with consistent style, colors, materials, fonts, and branding – all scaled appropriately depending on the location and application.
2. Hale Street Campus Edge Signage
To better direct visitors and enhance the campus arrival experience along Hale Street, the College wanted to update and better delineate signage marking the secondary east and west gate entrances to campus. The main campus entrance will also be enhanced with new sign panels on existing stone wing walls consistent with other new campus signage , site lighting, special paving, and landscape to culminate arrival at Endicott’s campus and primary gateway at the core campus.
The implementation of the overall wayfinding system will be phased and our services include initial concept development, design drawings for each of the signage types, and construction observation.
