College at Florham, Athletic Implementation Planning
Following an athletics planning project, Derck & Edson continued to collaborate with Fairleigh Dickinson University to improve their athletic facilities on the Madison campus by adding new facilities to support their existing sports program. A new multi-purpose, synthetic turf field was added and surrounded by a new all-weather track.
The multi-purpose field supports soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey teams. The track and field events surround the synthetic turf field.
Due to neighbor concerns, a landscaped berm was added to buffer views from the neighboring homes. Traditional site improvements such as a new parking lot, retaining wall, fencing, ballstopper netting, and video scoreboard were incorporated into this venue.
