Laurel Run Park

Client: Muhlenberg Township Parks & Recreation Department

Laurel Run Park is a recent addition to a township wide system of parks and greenways designed by Derck & Edson. Located along the meandering Laurel Run Creek by a rapidly developing area near Reading, Pennsylvania, this 10-acre park consists of athletic fields, walking trails, and a playground. Integration with growing residential areas around the park, connection to the existing greenway along the Laurel Run Creek, and conservation of the floodplain are the hallmarks of this carefully designed and executed project.
