McDaniel College Wayfinding
In addition to campus edge treatments and entry signage, Derck & Edson has worked with McDaniel College to develop an extensive and branded wayfinding system for the entire campus.
What began as an analysis of vehicular and pedestrian signs – both existing and proposed – became a more extensive planning project that led to a comprehensive wayfinding plan.
Once the plan was in place, a branded wayfinding package was designed and detailed and is now in the process of being implemented throughout campus. The package includes vehicular and pedestrian directional signs as well as campus map signs.
Standards for sign materials, colors, and landscape were also established as part of the wayfinding plan.
