Meadville Downtown Design and Planning
Our work in the City of Meadville began during a walking tour of the downtown, conducted at the request of the Pennsylvania Downtown Center. During the planning for that session, relationships were developed and we discovered mutual planning interests with representatives from the City and nearby Allegheny College.
Since that time, we have worked on several projects for the City including infill development plans for several properties along the Mill Run corridor, a new plaza space at Meadville’s historic Market House, and two stream bank enhancements that ultimately created two new park spaces, also along the Mill Run corridor.
In each planning project, multiple community stakeholders were integral in the decision-making process. These inclusive processes led to wide spread community, civic, and institutional support for each of the designs.
