New Street Park
Derck & Edson was contacted by the Borough of Lititz to create a plan for the redevelopment and enhancement of an existing, beloved community park. The New Street Park is located within an established neighborhood and has always been heavily used by the residents. However, the time had come for some changes.
The new plan proposes the use of natural materials and new lighting, site furniture, and a pavilion, sized to accommodate four standard picnic tables.
An existing stream is a natural focal point and stream restoration is a priority. Other features of the plan include meadow planting, enhanced pedestrian access points, toddler play equipment, identity signage and educational signage, and stormwater management features are all included in the plan.
