University of the Ozarks Athletics
At the University of the Ozarks, it was time to re-imagine campus sports facilities as a united Sports Complex, rather than individual fields supporting individual sports. As part of our planning review, we also addressed some dimensional and functional challenges and brought each field and/or venue up to the same level of player and spectator experience.
Key to the new vision was moving the existing baseball field to the southwest corner of the athletic complex to provide the field proper dimensional space while also allowing the grandstand building to serve as a gateway to the overall sports complex. The complex also includes an upgraded competition field for soccer, improvements to softball, and a new 8-court competition tennis complex. A centralized club house will house locker rooms, concessions, trainer space, restrooms, and a recruiting/alumni viewing terrace on the second floor.
Each field will be improved to provide the proper dimensional layout, grading, and support facilities including field lighting, artificial turf, and spectator seating where appropriate.
