Bloomsburg University Academic Quad
The main goal of this project, that was featured in the June 2011 issue of Landscape Architect and Specifier News, was to remove parking lots located in the core of the campus and create various gathering spaces to unify and connect the entire campus.
The photo shows the completed quad from the Andruss Library. In the foreground is the Sculpture Garden, leading to the Central Plaza, and on to the Campus Green.
Design details and the combination of hardscape and landscape help to make this space inviting. The granite University seal and the historic fountain are unique details and focal points.
