Bristol Downtown Master Plan
The project scope consisted of:
- Conducting a visioning and redevelopment planning process for six downtown neighborhoods in Bristol CT to help realize the revitalization of the commercial district and downtown neighborhoods.
- Assisting in implementing a public private partnership between the designated Master Developer and the City of Bristol to realize economic development goals.
- Guiding a community engagement process with over 2000 participants that launched four new businesses including a bakery and brew pub.
- Preparing site redevelopment plans, urban design standards, renderings, presentation books, zoning ordinances and municipal presentations for the entire downtown as well as the initial redevelopment phase of a 15 acre site at the heart of the historic downtown of this city of 60,000 people. The initial development phase included 1,000 apartments and 300,000 SF of hotel, retail and office space in 22 buildings.
