Fort Washington Village Visioning
This community visioning established the preferred community character and design standards for the Fort Washington Village District, a commercial area adjacent to both the SEPTA commuter rail station and historic Old Fort Washington and Elliger Park neighborhoods. This plan prepared for Upper Dublin Township promotes a mix of residential and appropriate commercial uses as well as the preservation and reuse of the historic structures. Recommendations included a transit-oriented mixed-use development and structured parking surrounding the train station. The community engagement process brought together dozens of commercial property owners as well as 80+ residential neighbors to ensure the plan was guided by the community stakeholders. Services included: zoning analysis, community preference survey, meeting facilitation, design standards and master planning.
