Thomas Jefferson University Master Plan – Philadelphia, PA

Thomas Jefferson University Master Plan

The University, prompted in part by the City wide re-zoning effort of the Philadelphia Planning Commission, embarked on forward-looking master plan.

Following successful collaboration with the University on several recent projects, Thomas Jefferson University once again turned to Derck & Edson for assistance with developing a 30 year master plan. The planning process included working with University officials to study building placement, heights, and square footage, all while keeping and enhancing the park-like setting of the Campus.

A 3D computer model was developed to test multiple plan scenarios and views from the surrounding residential community.

The master plan has been established as a working tool that the University will continue to apply in its project execution, both now and in the future.
