West College Avenue
The construction of the West College Avenue roadway extension created opportunity for the borough to create a prominent community gateway. Additional right-of-way was obtained during the transportation improvement project to facilitate safer and more efficient turning movements and pedestrian access at the intersection.
To achieve the required level areas for ADA ramps and landings, retaining walls were necessary. Working with the borough and the their transportation engineers, we created wall designs that not only provided the necessary elevations but were finished with stone veneer, precast coping, decorative iron fence sections, and welcome signage to the borough.
Adjacent property owners collaborated with our team to provide decorative landscaping on their lots to provide the backdrop for the walls.
